HeaderPilot — Privacy Policy

HeaderPilot (“the Extension”) is a local browser tool for developers to switch HTTP request/response header profiles, filters, and redirects for testing.

Data collection

The Extension does not collect, sell, share, or transmit personal data to any external server. There is no analytics, advertising, telemetry, or account system.

Data stored locally

The Extension stores data only in your browser’s local extension storage:

• Profiles you import or create (titles, colors, headers, filters, redirects)
• Active profile, enable/pause state, and UI theme

Data remains on your device unless you export a JSON file yourself.

Permissions

• storage — save profiles locally
• declarativeNetRequest — apply your configured header/redirect rules
• Optional host access (<all_urls>) — requested only when you enable the Extension or click “Allow site access”. You can revoke this in the browser’s extension settings.

Network use

The Extension does not phone home. It only modifies browser requests/responses according to the active profile you selected, after you grant site access.
